"Low demand stops" including Dromod and Rooskey in Leitirm will no longer be served "to improve journey times" it was announced recently by Expressway bus service.
The change will come into place from August 24, it was revealed when Expressway announced it's new Sligo–Dublin timetable this week with an earlier departure time of 6am being amongst the changes.
Expressway says the updated schedule has been designed to simplify the timetable structure offering a clear distinction between weekday services and weekend/public holidays, reflecting traffic patterns.

Passengers will see stops being served more consistently. Ballisodare, Collooney, Boyle, Mullingar, Castlebaldwin, Longford Station and Liffey Valley will now be served on every Route 23 trip.
Other low demand stops that will be no longer served are Maynooth (Route 22 (Ballina-Longford-Dublin Airport-Dublin city service) will accommodate on every trip instead), Drumfin, Sligo IT and Dublin’s North Wall Quay.
The timetable change will also see some refined departure times. The first service from Sligo now departs at 06:00 (changing from 06:30), recognising the increased morning demand. The 08:00 from Sligo, and the 23:00 from Dublin, will now both operate 7 days a week to satisfy demand.
Speaking on the changes, Head of Expressway, Andrew Yates said: “The upcoming Route 23 timetable changes are designed to simplify timetable structure while improving punctuality and customer experience, including arrivals into Dublin Airport. Departure times have been altered to provide for customers during the busiest period, ensuring availability when it is needed most. All of the changes introduced have been customer centred and driven by feedback to ensure smoother, more reliable journeys.
