Pádraic Gallagher sadly passed away on Tuesday

Tributes have been paid following the sad passing of Pádraic Gallagher, late of Anville Court & formerly Mariemount, Ballinamore, Leitrim.

Pádraic passed away on Tuesday July 2 2024, at Cavan General Hospital and is predeceased by his sister Anne (O’Connor).

He will be very sadly missed by his wife Frances, his parents Tony & Joan, brothers & sisters Oliver, Tony, Alan, Siobhán, Shane & Maria, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, grand-nephews, grand-nieces, relatives, neighbours, friends and all the health-care staff at the Ballinamore Nursing Unit.

Heartfelt condolences have been left on RIP.ie, from those who knew and fondly remembered Pádraic, with one mourner writing,

"Deepest Sympathy to Frances and the entire Gallagher Family on the sad passing of Pádraic. He was a real gentleman and he will be truly missed. May he Rest in Peace."

Another wrote,

"Deepest sympathy to Frances and the entire Gallagher family on your bereavement. Pádraic was a true gent. Have great memories of working along with him in the 90's. May he rest in peace."

While another wrote,

"Dear Frances , Tony , Joan and Family, it’s with great sadness I read of Padraic death, my heartfelt sympathies to you all at this sad time. Fond memories of Padraic growing up & in the same class in School. My thoughts are with u all at this time. Rest easy Padraic."

Funeral Arrangements

Reposing at Smith’s Funeral Home, High St., Ballinamore, Co. Leitrim, N41 TD62 this Thursday evening from 6pm until 8pm.

Funeral Mass on Friday in St. Patrick’s Church, Ballinamore at 12 noon followed by burial in Oughteragh Cemetery, Ballinamore.
