Repairs complete on watermain in South Leitrim with supply returning soon

Uisce Éireann crews have repaired a burst water main in South Leitrim and a normal water supply is being restored to customers affected.

The burst on a trunk water main resulted in localised disruption to supply for a small number of homes and businesses in Ballinamore, Fenagh and surrounding areas.

Uisce Éireann’s Kevin Love thanked customers for their patience while crews worked throughout the day to repair the burst.

Typically it can take three to four hours following repairs for a normal water supply to be restored to customers. However, it may take longer for those on higher ground or at the end of the network.
