Condolences have flooded in for Teresa Brown of Manorhamilton following her passing over the weekend

RIP: 'An absolutely beautiful lady' fondly remembered in Leitrim town following passing

The death has occurred of Teresa Brown (nee Mawn), of 12 Cluain Oir, Manorhamilton, over the weekend.

Teresa is survived by her loving family, including her beloved husband Matthew, along with her cherished children Eoghan, Jarlath, and Peadar.

She was a mother, daughter, sister, friend and valued member of the Manorhamilton community, running a business person, running the Manor Boutique in the town.

She will be dearly missed by her mother, Mary, sister, Dympna, brothers, Gerry (Mandy) and Pat (Natalia), and her loving nieces and nephews. Teresa was predeceased by her father, Paddy.

She was remembered fondly in the community, with one person describing her as “a ray of sunshine, and we will all miss her and never forget her.”

Another said, “There are no words for such a heartbreaking loss. Sending all my love and strength to you and your family, going through this unimaginable hard time.”

A visitor to her business told of the warmth she imparted on those who entered the shop: “She always gave great fashion advice and had a smile and chats whenever you went into the shop. She will be sadly missed.”

Another described her simply as “An absolutely beautiful lady, always so friendly, a wonderful businesswoman.”

She will repose at her place of business, The Manor Boutique, Main St., Manorhamilton F91 AK03, for a walk-through wake on Monday between 4pm and 8pm The family home will remain strictly private at all times.

Her funeral mass will take place at  St. Clare's Church in Manorhamilton with a requiem Mass on Tuesday at 12 noon, followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.

For those who cannot attend the funeral in person, it will be streamed online.
