The following deaths have occurred in Leitrim and the surrounding area

Michael (Mick) O'Rourke, Stradeen, Ballymackney, Carrickmacross, Co Monaghan / Dromahair, Co Leitrim

The death has occurred of Michael (Mick) O’Rouke, Stradeen, Ballymackney, Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan and formerly of Darkvalley, Dromahair, Co. Leitrim, peacefully in his 92nd year at the Louth County Hospital, Thursday 4th October 2018. Predeceased by his son Brian and grandson Paul. Beloved husband to Eileen and devoted father to Carol, Dessie, Siobhan, Breiffni and Kevin. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his wife, sons, daughters, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends. Removal on Sunday morning to St. Enda’s Church, Killanny arriving for Requiem Mass at 11:30am. Burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery. 


Kathleen Cluttingham (née Fowley), Gortnagrellagh, Glencar, Co Leitrim

The peaceful death has occurred in Ipswich, England. Sadly missed by family in Ireland and England. Rest in Peace. Funeral will take place in England.

Lil Coyle (née Farrell), Kilfree Junction, Cloonloo, Gurteen, Sligo / Boyle, Roscommon

Coyle, Lil, née Farrell, (Kilfree Junction, Cloonloo, Gurteen, Co. Sligo). October 4th 2018; Predeceased by her son Tommy, Lil is lovingly remembered by her husband Tom, sons Trevor, Evan, Dáire and Gavin, daughter Lavina, daughters-in-law, Lavina’s fiancé, brothers Pat and Willie, grandchildren, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and friends. Reposing at Perry’s Funeral Home, Ballymote, on Sunday evening from 5:30pm until 7:30pm. Mass of the Resurrection on Monday at 12 noon at St. Patrick’s Church, Gurteen,  with burial afterwards in Gurteen Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu, if desired, to ‘The Irish Cancer’ Society, c/o O’Dowd Funeral Directors, Gurteen.
