Leitrim hurlers are bidding for a rare slice of All-Ireland underage glory next Saturday May 25, in Kingspan Breffni Park as the County U20 team take on Monaghan in the All-Ireland U20 C Hurling Championship Final (4 pm throw-in).
After a torrid time in the Lory Meagher Cup, Leitrim's hurling community could do with some good news as they take on a highly rated Monaghan in the decider. Manager Olcan Conway rested all U20 players for last Saturday's 7-19 to 0-18 Lory Meagher Cup loss to Cavan and the hurlers will be seeking to finish Conway's reign on a high as he announced he is stepping down from the role.
In football news, Glencar Manorhamilton's Barry McNulty was the sole Leitrim player to be voted onto the GAA.ie Team of the Week for the Tailteann Cup last weekend following his heroics in scoring 1-4 in the Green & Gold's 2-12 to 0-17 victory over Longford. That win that assures Leitrim of at least home advantage for a preliminary quarter-final ahead of the final round clash with Kildare.

Leitrim Minor footballers saw their bid to win the Connacht Shield Final end with another frustrating one point loss to Sligo last Friday but they get the chance to put it behind them when they take on London in the inaugural All-Ireland Minor C competition next Sunday at 1 pm in the Connacht GAA Centre of Excellence.
