Leitrim footballers open with Waterford and finish with Sligo in 2023 Allianz NFL Division 4 campaign

Andy Moran's Leitrim Senior footballers will host Waterford in the opening round of the 2023 Allianz National Football League and finish their campaign with a clash against neighbours Sligo after the GAA released their Master Fixture list for next year.

Leitrim will have four games at home in next year's campaign as they seek to win promotion from the Division and will host the two big hitters in Laois and Sligo in Avant Money Pairc Sean Mac Diarmada in the final two games of the campaign along with Carlow.

The away trips include a trip to take on London in Ruislip in the second game of the campaign along with long trips to the south east of the country to take on Wicklow and Wexford.

Leitrim footballers will begin their campaign at home on Sunday January 29, against Waterford before travelling to McGovern Emerald Park in Ruislip to renew their rivalry with London on Sunday February 5. A trip to Chadwick's Wexford Park follows on Sunday February 19, with Carlow the visitors to Avant Money Pairc Sean Mac Diarmada a week later on Sunday February 26.

Sunday March 5, will see Leitrim fans make the journey to Aughrim to take on Wicklow and the League finishes up with home games against Laois on Sunday March 19, and Sligo on Sunday March 26. The Division 4 League Final will take place on the first weekend of April.

In the Allianz NHL, Olcan Conway's hurlers open their 2023 campaign with a trip to Birmingham on Sunday February 5, to take on Warwickshire in Division 3B. A week later, they host Lancashire on Saturday February 11, before a four week break when they then travel to Kingspan Breffni Park on Saturday March 11, to take on Cavan.

The hurlers conclude their League by hosting neighbours Longford on Saturday March 18, in Avant Money Pairc Sean Mac Diarmada.
