Planters strewn across the footpath in Drumshanbo

There is deep anger in Drumshanbo this morning after a spate of vandalism in the town last night.

Drumshanbo Tidy Towns have expressed their disgust at the vandalism of planters and flower boxes along the High Street, at the library and at Laird House.

Extensive damage was done to the flowers boxes on the eve of the Packie Duignan Traditional Festival being held in the town this weekend.

It is understood the young culprits were captured on CCTV.

The local community are thankful to volunteers from Drumshanbo Tidy Towns who were out early this morning to clean up the damage caused.
