Kelly Duke set up Aalba Footcare Clinic in Carrick-on-Shannon in 2002.
The clinic was one of the first of its kind in the region. Kelly has grown the business over the past 21 years and the clinic is now a well-known successful practice with two other employees.
Kelly is a graduate of QMU, Edinburgh, she holds a BSc Podiatry (Hons) degree and is a member of the Irish Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists. She has an active interest in steering Podiatry as a profession, having sat on the executive council of the Society between the years of 2003 and 2010, in the positions as Secretary and Vice Chair.
Kelly moved the business from The Market Yard to a purpose-designed multidisciplinary premises at comprising of multiple treatment rooms, a pilates studio and private carpark in 2014. The clinic is now a one-stop shop for your feet with foot wear ranges, foot care shop and video gait analysis.
She is committed to continuous professional education. Her areas of post graduate education include lower limb mechanics, Podiatric dermatology, footwear prescription and health promotion.
Prior to studying Podiatry, Kelly studied Sports Science after a successful international competitive career as a Judo player. She lives in the Carrick on Shannon area and is a mother of two girls.
