The following deaths have occurred in the local area:

Pauric Cassells, Cornagresh, Mohill, Co Leitrim 
The death has occurred of Pauric Cassells of Cornagresh, Mohill, Co. Leitrim, on Thursday, 16th March 2023, suddenly, at his residence. Predeceased by his parents; Pat and Cissie, his brother; Tommy. Pauric will be sadly missed and remembered by his family, sons; Lee and Finn, daughter; Shannon and their mother; Lorraine, his brother; Hugh and his partner; Margaret, sister; Catherine Charles and brother-in-law; Philip, niece; Sinead, Bernie, grandniece and grandnephew, cousins, extended family, large circle of friends, work colleagues and neighbours. Pauric will repose at his residence at Cornagresh, Mohill, on Sunday (19th March) from 3.00pm – 7.00pm. Remains will arrive to St. Patrick’s Church, Mohill, for funeral Mass on Monday at 12 noon followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. Pauric’s Funeral Mass will be live streamed on www.churchtv.ie/mohill

Mae McGowan, Tullaghan, Co Leitrim
Mae McGowan, (nee Wymbs), Wardhouse, Tullaghan, Co. Leitrim, peacefully at Sligo University Hospital on Thursday, 16th March 2023. Beloved wife of the late Edward (Eddie), and loving sister of the late Allie Wymbs, Margaret Connolly and Paddy Wymbs. Mae will be sadly missed by her loving family, her sister-in-law Carmel Wymbs, and all her beloved nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, great-grandnieces, great-grandnephew, the Wymbs and Connolly Families, and all her relatives, neighbours and friends.  Removal from her late residence on Saturday morning, 18th March, at 10.30am to arrive at St. Patrick's Church, Tullaghan for Mass of the Resurrection at 11am. Burial afterwards in St. Aidan's Cemetery, Kinlough.

Fr. Sean Rynn, St. Patrick's Missionary Society, Kiltegan, Co Wicklow / Ballinaglera, Co Leitrim
The death has occurred of Fr. Sean Rynn SPS, St Patrick’s Missionary Society, Kiltegan, Co Wicklow and formerly of Druminalass House, Ballinaglera, Co. Leitrim, Diocese of Ikot Ekpene, Nigeria, Eldoret, Kenya, Grenada and England, on Wednesday, March 15th 2023, peacefully in the Care Unit, Kiltegan. Predeceased by his parents, John Thomas and Teresa, his brother Jim and wife Kay. Deeply regretted by his nephew Sean and wife Cliona and family, his relations, and friends and by his Society family. Funeral Mass in St Patrick’s Chapel, Kiltegan, on Saturday, 18th March, at 12 noon followed by burial in the Society Cemetery. Michael Wood, Rooskey, Co Leitrim / Longford
The death has occurred of Michael Wood, Osprey Park, Rooskey, Co. Leitrim and formerly of Longford, peacefully, on Thursday, March 16th, surrounded by his family at the Midland’s Regional Hospital, Mullingar. Predeceased by his parents. Michael will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his family, his beloved wife Karen, daughter Katie Wall, son Jon, daughter-in-law Laura, son-in-law Kevin, sister Margaret, brother Matthew, grandchildren Dillon, Alex, Charlie, Kayleigh and Finnley, best friend Bosco, relatives and friends. Reposing at Glennon’s Funeral Home, Ballinalee Road (N39 EC81) on Sunday from 6.00pm until 8.00pm. A private cremation will take place on Monday. 

Noel Duignan, Aughamore, Co Leitrim
Noel Duignan, Mullagh, Aughamore, Annaduff, Carrick-on-Shannon, Co Leitrim, peacefully, at home, surrounded by his loving family, following a short illness bravely borne. Predeceased by his parents Peter and Annie and his sister Mae O’Rourke. Sadly missed by his wife Ann, son David, daughter Annette (Kelleher), son-in-law Gary, adored grandchildren, Dylan and Rhona, sisters Sheila Mulvee (Mullingar) and Ann Beirne (Mohill), brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and a large circle of neighbours and friends. Funeral Mass on Saturday 18th in St Mary’s Church, Annaduff at 12 noon. Burial immediately afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Seamus Prior, Corlough, Co Cavan / Dublin
Seamus Prior, Altachullion, Corlough,Co Cavan / Dublin, tragically, on 10th March 2023. Predeceased by his father James. Loving son of Mary Kate and brother of T. J., Bernard, Mary (Seamus), Bridie, Kathleen, Christina (John), Seán (Anne-Marie), Eamon (Maria). He will be sadly missed by his extended family, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Removal on Saturday morning, from the home of his brother Seán in Altachullion, to arrive at St. Patrick's Church, Corlough, for Funeral Mass at 12 noon (H14 VK30). Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Mass may be viewed on the Corlough-Templeport Parish Facebook page.

Martina Krupa (nee Keoghan), Leicester, England / Kiltyclogher, Co. Leitrim
The death has occurred of Martina Krupa (nee Keoghan), Hugglescote, Leicester, England and formerly of Glenkeel, Kiltyclogher, Co. Leitrim. Predeceased by her parents Paddy and Agnes (Baby), brothers infant Andrew, Francis and her sister Mary. Beloved wife of Willie and much loved sister of Hubert, Sean, Eileen, Pat, Denny and Dessie. She will be sadly missed by her loving family, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, extended family and large circle of friends. Reposing at the family home (Eircode F91 RH79) on Saturday from 6pm to 10pm. Removal to St Patrick’s Church, Kiltyclogher on Sunday morning for Funeral Mass at 11.15am followed by cremation at Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan at 4pm. 

Desmond Lynch, Carrick-on-Shannon, Co Roscommon / Bristol, England
Desmond Lynch, Woodbrook House, Darrary, Carrick-on-Shannon, Co Roscommon, formerly Woodbrook House, Bristol, England. on 12th February 2023 (peacefully) surrounded by his loving family. Pre-deceased by his wife Kathleen, brothers Larry and Jim, sister Bridie. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving daughters Una and Threasa, sons-in-law Steve and Colin, adored grandchildren Scarlett, Isabella, Alexandra, Esme, Miles, brothers Pat (Galway), Tony (Cork), Austin (Dublin), Eamon (Galway), Benny (Bristol), sisters Mary (Newtownforbes), Ann (Jersey) Bernadette (Bristol), sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family, neighbours, and many friends in England and Ireland. Desmond’s funeral mass will take place at The Cathedral Church of Saints Peter and Paul, Pembroke Road, Clifton, Bristol on March 22nd at 11am. Desmond’s funeral cortege will arrive at St. Michael’s Church, Cootehall on Thursday evening the 23rd March at 7pm. Funeral Mass at 11 o’clock on Friday 24th followed by Cremation in Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan at 3pm. Funeral Mass will be streamed live on the link https://www.churchtv.ie/cootehall/
