Cuilcagh Ramblers in Cavan will be marking the opening of the new Cuilcagh Lowlands Trail by completing it in full on Saturday, April 1.
This new walkway is a 13km route and is all on road or track.
The new trail provides fantastic views of the majestic Cuilcagh Mountain.
The opening trail group will meet at O'Reillys filling station, Swanlinbar at 9am, parking in Charlie's yard opposite the filling station.
Refreshments will be served afterwards in Swanlinbar community hall.
The route is through some working farmland so no dogs are allowed please and walkers are advised to dress for the weather and terrain.
This new Cuilcagh Lowlands Trail gives improved access to the mountain from the Cavan side of the mountain.
Everyone welcome, come explore a new route, challenge your fitness and meet new friends along the way!
