There has been a lot of talk and media interest in the Oscars, but less fuss about a movie which opened in cinemas across Ireland Friday, March 10 last, which has a Roscommon connection.
The movie 'My Sailor, My Love' directed by Klaus Härö, sees Ballyfarnon native, actress Ciara Fallon playing a part in the movie.
The movie is about a retired sea captain and his daughter who must reassess their strained relationship after he begins a new romance with a widowed housekeeper. The movie was filmed in Achill, Co Mayo.
