Strangulation risk prompts Dunnes to recall baby product sold to thousands of Irish parents

Thousands of parents are being warned to cease use of a baby product sold by a popular Irish retail chain. 

According to the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC), Dunnes Stores Unlimited Company is carrying out a recall of the Children's Sleep and Grow Bag due to a risk of possible strangulation. 

Other risks associated with use of the product include rash, irritation and discomfort as the neck opening of the product is generally smaller than the recommended specification. 

The type/number of model is style numbers 6454933, 6454934, 6454935. 

The bar codes for the relevant products are below:

Style 6454933 – 5099014380487, 5099014380494, 5099014380500
Style 6454934 – 5099014380517, 5099014380524, 5099014380531
Style 6454935 – 5099014466327, 5099014466334, 5099014466341

The product was sold within Ireland from March 3 and April 17 this year, with approximately 6,387 sold in the country. 

If you purchased one of these products, please discontinue use immediately and keep it out of the reach of children.

You can return the product to your local store for a full refund.
