Best wishes to Maggie McLoughlin as she begins her new career

On Wednesday, August 23, Maggie McLoughlin, finished ten years of work at McGoldrick’s Centra store in Dromahair.

She is changing career as a Special Needs Assistant at a school not far from home. Maggie looks forward to this new job as a challenge to her talents and warm people-centered personality.

Last September Maggie started a distance-learning SNA course at St Angela’s College. The course finished in April this year after Maggie did her final tests.

It is a credit to St Angela’s College that people from all backgrounds can do online and partial attendance courses of different kinds to enable them to learn new topics and skills.

Maggie McTiernan spent her childhood in Ardvarney. On marriage she moved to a house in Fivemilebourne quite close to Lough Doon in the Doonkelly area of Leckaun and Newtownmanor.

Maggie posed for a photo on the morning of her last day in the shop and many customers wished her the best as they paid at the counter for groceries.

That afternoon staff at McGoldrick’s posed for a farewell photo. But first there was fun and frolics outside as somebody squirted her with a plastic water pistol, and somebody else (no names in case of legal proceedings) sprinkled somebody with a bucket of water. Then as Maggie drove home a good-luck sticker was attached to the vehicle rear window.
