On Sunday, September 3, the community in Cortober, Carrick-on-Shannon, Co Roscommon were proud to get Fr. Alan Conway to bless their new statues at the grotto situated in the grounds of the Patrician Hall.
There was a double celebration, as they also opened their new kitchen facility. Thanks to everybody who stayed on and enjoyed a cuppa after mass, and hopefully it will become a meeting spot for many more events in the future.

Geraldine and Marie have been successful in recent funding applications and have received over €60,000 in total to date from Roscommon Leader, which allowed the refurbishment of bathrooms to include a new wheelchair-accessible toilet facility.
In recent months, a further grant was obtained from the Community Grant Scheme to allow them to install a new kitchen facility.
