Witness Appeal – Robbery incident, Dublin Road, Longford

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following reports of a robbery at a service station in Longford on Thursday, 14th September 2023.

Shortly after 8am, Gardaí were alerted after an individual entered a service station on Dublin Road, Longford armed with a suspected firearm. It’s understood he threatened staff before leaving the premises on foot empty handed.

No one was injured in the course of the incident and no arrests have been made at this time. 

Investigating Gardaí are appealing to anyone who was in or around the Dublin Road and Old Ardnacassa areas of Longford, on Thursday, 14th September, between the hours of 7am and midday.

Anyone who may have noticed any suspicious activity, has CCTV or dashcam footage from that time, or witnessed the incident, is asked to come forward.
