The road is "sinking in places"

The road is "sinking in places"

Cllr Gerry Dolan

Cllr Gerry Dolan called on Ballinamore Municipal District to have the road at Murhaun, Drumshanbo from the new graveyard to the Laragan crossroad resurfaced.
He was advised that the L-3303, from the Drumshanbo Cemetery to Laragan cross, is not on the current 3 year roads programme. The L-3306, from the graveyard to Aghagraina, will be reconstructed next year."

Cllr Dolan continued that the road was "sinking rapidly in several different places" and said that motorists are "hitting the body of the car against the road."

Darragh O'Boyle, district engineer with Leitrim County Council, said if additional funding can be sourced through the RIGs next year, it can be considered at that stage and in the meantime, the "patching unit can have a look at it."
