The Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine has confirmed that the deadline for all farmers, including Nitrates Derogation 2023 applicants, to declare movements of organic manure off their holding’s this year is the 31st of December 2023.
All movements must be declared and verified online by this date.
Accepting that some farmers have recently experienced flooding of storage tanks, it is recognised that there may be a need to move slurry to other tanks. Therefore, the deadline to declare movements for Nitrates Derogation 2023 applicants has been extended to the 31st of December 2023.
