Kids Own Publishing Partnership launched 'A Bright Light', a book written by children from families who foster in Leitrim and Sligo, on November 01 at The Model.
The children and their families, along with Kids Own associates artist Karina Nachbar and writer Mary Branley, attended the event.
Anne McGloin, Social Work Team Leader from the Foster Care Resource Service, said: "This book has created an awareness and deeper understanding of both the joys and challenges inherent in fostering.
"We are so grateful to the children who wrote and illustrated the book in conjunction with Kids Own Publishing Partnership.
"It is an amazing achievement which will live long in the memory by virtue of this marvellous accomplishment."
