Hailing from Longford Ross McNerney - formerly Brave Giant, Leitrim Oisin McCaffrey, and Sligo Robbie Cunningham — Amble has gained a strong following over the last seven months since their debut release, “Mariner Boy.”
The group has amassed over 50,000 monthly Spotify listeners and breached 1,000,000 streams. The group is set to play on April 3-4 at Backstage Theatre.
They have sold out all Dublin headliners, including The Workman Cellar, released in April 2023. The Sugar Club, released in November 2023, was sold out five months in advance. They are now set to embark on a sold-out Irish Tour in March 2024, which includes two sold-out shows in Whelans and the Roisin Dubh and a debut Belfast headliner in Limelight, to name just a few.
Amble are Robbie Cunningham, Oisin Mc Caffrey, and Ross Mc Nerney, a three-piece ensemble of songwriters from the midlands and west of Ireland. If Amble’s debut EP, 2023’s “Amble (Live)”, introduced a new musing, trad-tinged trio of songwriters to the Irish music scene, 2024’s highly distinctive “Of Land and Sea” finds the group expanding their sound to an ever-more global audience.
The unique perspective of three individual songwriters creates a peerless body of work that only enhances the now familiar ruminative observations on the world and, more pertinently - the stories unfolding each day within it.
Tickets are €18 and are available at https://backstage.ie/events/amble/.
