The death has occurred of Nancy Woods (née Weldon), Cornaroy, Drumshanbo, Co Leitrim (N41 WD98) peacefully at Sligo University Hospital, on Monday, 17th June, surrounded by her loving family and under the exceptional care of the North West Hospice. Predeceased by her beloved husband Shane, grand-daughter Naoise, sisters Peggy, Eileen and Agnes; brothers Tom, Pat and Seamus. Forever loved and missed by her children Kenneth, Yvonne, Darina, Shane, Gail and Aengus; daughters-in-law Noreen, Michele and Belinda; sons-in-law Aidan and David and by her adored grandchildren Óisin, Sinéad, Shane, Roisin, Hannah, Odhran, Tiarnan, Rían, Maria, Kealan, Siofra, Sadhbh, Stella and Sonny. Deeply missed and fondly remembered by her sister Kathleen (London), sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and members of the Weldon and Woods families; former colleagues of Drumshanbo N.S. and Joe Mooney Summer School Committee, great neighbours and many friends. Rest In Peace. Reposing at her home on Wednesday afternoon (June 19th) from 3pm to 8pm. Removal to St Patrick's Church, Drumshanbo, on Thursday morning (June 20th) for Funeral Mass at 1pm followed by burial in New Cemetery. Vera Hart, Carrick-on-Shannon, Co Leitrim
Vera Hart (née Howell), Drummagh, Summerhill, Carrick-on-Shannon, Co. Leitrim, formerly Bacton, Suffolk, England on Wednesday, 12th June, (peacefully) in the tender loving care of the nurses and staff at Abbey Haven nursing home, Boyle. Pre-deceased by her parents Benjamin and Kezia and her brother Benjamin. Sadly missed by her loving family, daughters Wendy and Dawn, sons-in-law John and Adrian, grandchildren Jasmin, Daniel and Conor, great-grandchildren Lillie, Mila and Devlyn, extended family, neighbours and friends. At Rest. Vera’s cremation service will take place in Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan on Friday, 21st June at 12 o’ clock.

The death has occurred of Imelda Horan (née Glancy) Killumod, Carrick-on-Shannon, Co Roscommon, on Monday, 17th June, peacefully in the loving and devoted care of Staff in Abbey Haven Nursing Home, Boyle. Pre-deceased by her husband Denis, sons Tom and John. Deeply regretted by her sons and daughters, Frances, Michael, Val, Irene, Geraldine, Pat, Angela, Carmel and Aidan, daughter-in-law, son-in-law, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, relatives, neighbours and friends. Gerry Connellan, Ballinameen / Hillstreet, Co Roscommon
Gerard (Gerry) Connellan, Acres, Ballinameen, Boyle, Co. Roscommon and late of Clooncoose, Hillstreet (16th May, 1955 - 17th June, 2024). Passed away, peacefully, after a short illness, in the wonderful care of the ICU staff at the Blackrock Clinic, Dublin. Predeceased by his parents Michael and Mai, brothers Padraig, Donal and Micheál and brother-in-law Seamus. Gerry will be very sadly missed by his devoted wife Rita (neé Sharkey), loving daughter Deirdre, sister Mary (Dublin), brother Addie (London), brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, relatives, neighbours and a large circle of friends. Rest in Peace. Reposing at Brady’s Funeral Home, Elphin on Thursday evening (20th June) from 4.30pm with Removal at 7pm to St, Attracta’s Church, Ballinameen, arriving at 7.45pm (via Acres). Funeral Mass on Friday (21st June) at 12noon. Gerry will be laid to rest afterwards in the adjoining Cemetery.

Frank Carney, Rathgean, Ballintogher, Co. Sligo, passed away peacefully in the exceptional care of ICU staff at Sligo University Hospital, on Saturday, June 15th. Cherished husband of Kathleen (née Rooney) and father of Agnes, Francis, Bernie and Micheal. Predeceased by his parents Agnes and Michael Carney and sisters Imelda Duffy and Mary McGourty and son-in-law Tom Burke. Frank will be sadly missed by his heartbroken wife, sons, daughters, grandchildren Angela, Aidan, Shauna, Laurna, Amy, Colin, Niamh and Ciaran, great-granddaughters Kaighla and Lyanna, son-in-law Gerry, daughter-in-law Una, sister Ita, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces, nephew, extended family and a wide circle of friends and neighbours. Phil Mulholland (nee Moran) Gorvagh, Co Leitrim, late of Perrystown, Dublin 12 and Newbridge, Co. Kildare. Phil passed away on June 15th 2024, peacefully at home, in her 67th year. Predeceased by her adored parents John (Dessie) and Noreen Moran. Phil will be sadly missed by her beloved and devoted husband Gerry, her children Eoin, Jennifer and Gerard, daughters-in-law Rachel and Orellie, son-in-law Stephen, her adored grandchildren Clodagh, Darragh, Donnacha, Elodie, Maeve and Kate, sisters and brothers in law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends. Orla Rutledge (née O'Carroll), Goatstown, Dublin / Mount Merrion, Dublin / Manorhamilton, Co Leitrim died peacefully, at 80 years old, after a short illness and under the care of Our Lady's Hospice, Blackrock on Saturday, 15th June. Orla was predeceased by her husband Brian and daughter Noreen. She will be dearly missed by her children Susan, John, Anne and Rory, her daughters-in-law Sarah and Holly, her grandchildren Connor, Alice, Alex, Abi and Annabel, her twin brother Rory, her siblings Barbara, Fionnuala, Deirdre, Jim, Maureen, Harry, Eileen, Roisin and Attracta, her extended family and many friends and neighbours. Reposing at Fanagans Funeral Home, Dundrum, on Wednesday afternoon (19th June) from 3pm, prior to her Removal to the Church of St. Thérèse, Mount Merrion arriving at 5pm. Funeral Mass on Thursday morning (20th June) at 10am. Committal prayers at 12.15pm in the Victorian Chapel, Mount Jerome, Harold’s Cross.
