Vehicle of man caught 14 times over the drink driving limit being takenaway
A learner driver was caught driving 14 times over the legal limit for alcohol in Carrick-on-Shannon, Gardaí said via social media Tuesday.
The driver was stopped by Gardaí who noticed him driving erratically.
On speaking to the driver they found he was a learner driving unaccompanied and without insurance.
The driver was then arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated and was taken to Carrick-on-Shannon Garda station where he was breathalysed and deemed to be 14 times over the limit.
The man was charged and is due to appear before a sitting of Carrick on Shannon District Court in the coming weeks.
