Proposal lodged for new crèche in Leitrim amid scarcity of spaces in local childcare
Leitrim County Council has received a planning application for the construction of a new childcare facility in Fenagh.
Fenagh Childcare LTD have submitted the proposal to build a new childcare facility in the village of Commons in Fenagh that would cater up to 62 children.
The already operational childcare company have stated that this new facility is greatly needed in the area as they are not able to service the demand for childcare places at present.

Fenagh Childcare LTD have argued that the lack of availability in childcare in the community needs to be addressed in order to cater for everyone and to counter the rise of childcare costs.
The company has sought planning permission for the construction of a new crèche which includes all the necessary facilities for childcare such as outdoor play areas, car parking spaces and all other associated site works.
Leitrim County Council are due to make their decision on the proposal on March 19.
