Revealed: The Store that sold Leitrim’s latest million-euro lottery ticket
The lucky ticket was sold on the day of the draw
On Thursday, it was announced that a Leitrim lottery player had won €4,769,938 in Wednesday’s national lottery Jackpot draw.
Scollan’s Gala in Drumshanbo has been announced as the selling location of Wednesday night's Lotto jackpot-winning ticket.
The National Lottery has also confirmed that the winning Quick Pick ticket was purchased on the day of the draw, Wednesday.
As well as becoming Ireland’s newest jackpot winner, the Leitrim player has now taken the title of 27th National Lottery millionaire of the year to date.
The family-run Drumshanbo store has been in business for 20 years, and the jackpot win has given the team extra reason to celebrate.
Store owner Karol Scollan shared, “We’re absolutely delighted! We’ve been here in the heart of Drumshanbo for over 20 years and have had some fantastic National Lottery wins along the way, but a Lotto jackpot of over €4.7 million really tops the lot! It’s wonderful to think that one of our customers is holding that winning ticket. There’ll be plenty to celebrate in the shop today! From our family and the whole team here, we want to wish the winner all the very best with their incredible win!”
