A beloved festive favourite is set to return to the big screen in Carrick-on-Shannon next week, as The Dock hosts a special Classic Cinema screening of How the Grinch Stole Christmas on Tuesday, 10 December, from 11.30am to 1.30pm.
Families and film-lovers can relive the story of the famously green and famously grumpy Grinch, who lives high atop Mount Crumpit overlooking Whoville. Determined to put an end to the Whos’ Christmas cheer, he steals every gift, decoration and scrap of tinsel in sight — only to discover that the true spirit of Christmas runs far deeper than presents.
Jim Carrey delivers an unforgettable performance in Ron Howard’s 2000 live-action adaptation of Dr Seuss’ much-loved tale, joined on screen by Taylor Momsen and Jeffrey Tambor.
