Leitrim Credit Union issues warning as scam targets it's members

The credit union in Manorhamilton has issued a warning about fraudulent SMS messages that are being sent to members in the area.

The message claims that the recipient may be eligible for a €1.500 grant if they save with the credit union and directs them to a fake website.

“This website is not affiliated with any legitimate Credit Union and appears to be part of a phishing campaign designed to harvest personal and financial information,” said the Manorhamilton Branch on Facebook.
