Decision to back fracking bill welcomed by all parties
Fracking

Hollywood actor Mark Ruffalo was among those who has offered his support for 'Back the Bill' campaign.
The news that a private member's bill calling for the banning of fracking, brought by Deputy Tony McLoughlin, passed its first stage in the Dail yesterday has been welcomed by all parties.
To the forefront of the campaign to have fracking banned in Ireland have been the Love Leitrim group and they were warmly congratulated by many for their hard work and perseverance in recent years.
Great to see @LoveLeitrim get due credit in Dáil for incredible longstanding activism on #fracking campaign #backthebill #KeepItInTheGround

The reason the anti-fracking bill has reached the #Dáil is due to the people of Leitrim who campaigned against it for years. #fracking
