The following deaths have occurred in the Leitrim area:

Sean Sharkey, Kilmore, Carrick-on-Shannon, Co Roscommon

The death has occurred of Sean Sharkey, Cornislehane, Kilmore, Carrick-on-Shannon, Co. Roscommon on Wednesday, 15th November 2017. Predeceased by his beloved wife Annie and sadly missed by his daughters, Theresa and Mary (O’Hara), sons Brendan (Collooney) and Gerry (England), daughter-in-law Mary, grandchildren, Emma, Cian, Conor and Lorraine, relatives, neighbours and friends. Rest in Peace. Reposing at the home of his daughter Mary O’Hara, Woodbrook, Carrick-on-Shannon, Co. Roscommon on Thursday 16th from 3pm to 6pm with removal to St. Brigid’s Church, Dangan, arriving at 7.00pm. Funeral Mass on Friday 17th at 12noon with burial immediately afterwards in Kilmore Cemetery.

Margaret (Gretta) Feely (née Gaffney), Drumlion, Carrick-on-Shannon, Co Roscommon

The death has occurred of Margaret (Gretta) Feely, Drumercool, Drumlion, Carrick-on-Shannon, Co Roscommon, peacefully, surrounded by her loving family in Drumderrig Nursing Home, Boyle. Predeceased by her beloved husband Jackie and sadly missed by her son Declan, daughter-in-law Elaine, grandsons Connor and Peter, sister Josie (Conlon) Crossna, Keadue, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephew, relatives, neighbours and friends. Removal from the home of her son Declan and daughter-in-law Elaine on Wednesday morning to St. Michael’s Church, Drumlion, arriving for Funeral Mass at 12 noon. Burial immediately afterwards in Drumlion Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu, if desired to Northwest Hospice, c/o Dermot Foley, Foley’s Funeral Directors, Kilmore.

Gerry Walker, Ballinaglera, Co Leitrim / Coolock, Dublin

Gerry Walker, Ballinaglera, Co. Leitrim, formerly Cooloock, Dublin, Nov. 13th 2017. (Peacefully) at Laurel Lodge Nursing Home, Longford. Loving husband of Kay and loving father of Frank, Brenda and Catherine. May His Soul Rest In Peace. Funeral arriving at St. Hugh's Church, Ballinaglera on Wednesday at 11.45am for 12 noon Mass of the Resurrection, followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving wife Mary, sons and daughters, Desmond, Fiona, Geraldine,Maura, Ita-Marie, Patrick and Gerard.
