Ailbhe Clancy chosen as DCU ambassador

Ailbhe Clancy, from Glenfarne has been selected to join the Dublin City University student ambassador team for the 2017/2018 academic year.

Student ambassadors are hired by the university to give prospective students an insight into life at DCU and combine their academic studies with their role as a student ambassador at numerous DCU events, on and off campus.

Ailbhe, a former pupil of St. Clare's Comprehensive School, Manorhamilton is a third year analytical science student at DCU.

She plays soccer for the university and was also a member of the Irish soccer team at this year's World University Games held in Taiwan.

Lauren Quinn Taylor, Student Recruitment, DCU said​, “In DCU we hire a select number of current DCU students every year. They are essentially brand ambassadors for the university and they work at a number of events on and off campus promoting DCU and the courses on offer.

"The student ambassadors are in a position to give a real insight into life on campus and can talk from experience on academic life, social life, accommodation, support services.

"The student ambassadors play a hugely valuable role in the promotion of DCU and are a great support and resource for the student recruitment team.”
