A pedestrian was struck by a car outside of Leitrim Village last Sunday night, September 23.


Gardai are investigating an incident where a male pedestrian was struck by a passing car at 9.30pm outside of Leitrim Village on the Drumshanbo Road at the weekend.
It is understood a lorry had broken down on the road and driver was out on the road, when he was struck.
The lorry driver was transferred to Sligo University Hospital with a number of injuries which are not understood to be life threatening.


The road was closed Sunday night as part of the investigation but re-opened on Monday morning, September 24.
