The beautiful Shannonside village of Dromod.
After 39 years of being named as Leitrim's tidiest town, Dromod have this year been pipped into second place but were nevertheless highly praised in the Adjudication Report.
In the report Dromod was praised warmly with the adjudicator commenting, "You have been totally consistent in maintaining high standards in the competition, and provide a great example of consistency and annual improvement - both in your marks and in making your village a better place for your permanent residents and holiday home owners alike.
We are impressed with your efforts to engage with the people who visit on a temporary basis. You have inherited a wonderful environment naturally - and benefit from the care of the village through generations at this stage. You respect both your inheritance and the work carried out over the last 40 plus years."
