New festivals and events for Ballinamore 2019

Ballinamore has a jam packed schedule of events for 2019 and there are a few new festivals being added to the line up.


Ballinamore Tourist Centre has released a poster of events for 2019 and almost every month from now until September has something going on around Ballinamore.
As angling continues to grow the area will host at least four events this year along with a possible juvenile competition.
The Ivan Price Memorial Cup will open on May 26 followed by the Ballinamore Course Angling Festival fro May 27-31.
The Dutch King of Clubs returns from August 26-30 while the internationally renowned World Pairs Championships get underway from September 2-6.


Drumcoura City are holding a new festival Facefest from June 14- 15 which is a family friendly music and art event.
Cowboys and Heroes returns to Drumcoura on May 31-June 3.
Drumcoura will also host the National Car Club Show this year on July 20.


Ballinamore's annual Family Festival returns this year, August 11-18, and the hard working committee are currently planning out the week long festival of events.
Cllr John McCartin also told the paper last week that he hopes set up a new festival in the town on the back of the very successful Connacht Fleadh Cheoil.
He said the first festival may only be a weekend of traditional music and dance, but he hopes to build it into an annual date for Ballinamore.


The town is currently preparing for their musical Oklahoma February 15-13 and Ballinamore Drama Festival from March 1-8.
