Motorists are being advised of a road closure taking place today, December 3, in North Leitrim.
Leitrim County Council has stated that an emergency road closure is required on the R281 road between Kinlough and Rossinver to facilitate emergency road works for one day only. The road will be closed from 9:30am until 5pm, with signed detours in operation.
Scheduled road works are also taking place in the south of the county today, with the Dowra Road (R207-6) and Convent Avenue (L-3306) in Drumshanbo being closed for road resurfacing works.
These works will be carried out by contractors acting on behalf of the Council over a three-day period, continuing until Friday, December 5.
Work will take place each day from 8am until 6pm, during which diversions will be in place and local access will remain open.
