The majority of Leitrim Observer readers wait until after December 8 to put up the Christmas tree.
An on-line poll revealed that 72 percent of respondents waited to put up the tree.
However 12 percent of those polled claimed they put their tree up after October 31.
A worrying - or possibly just terribly lazy - 16 percent of respondents claimed their tree was left up all year round. Santa would be proud.
