Adi Roche from Chernobyl Children International will be speaking about her years of volunteer work at next week's Leitrims Health Is Wealth event in Carrick-on-Shannon.

Adi founded Chernobyl Children International in 1991 and has been the voluntary CEO of the organisation since, providing humanitarian aid to the affected children of Ukraine, Belarus and Western Russia.

Her work has inspired volunteers from Ireland to get involved in the work of the organisation, making a positive difference in the lives of children impacted by the Chernobyl nuclear disaster.

Come along on Wednesday, March 27 next to the Bush Hotel, Carrick-on-Shannon to hear Adi tell her personal story of volunteering.

This is a free event and doors open at 7pm.
