Positive Lifestyle Showcase for people with disabilities

Leitrim Development Company, in partnership with the HSE, Irish Wheelchair Association and Leitrim Association of People with Disabilities will be holding a ‘Positive Lifestyle Showcase’ for people living with physical and sensory disabilities on Tuesday, 11th June, 11am-2pm at The Ramada Lough Allen Hotel, Drumshanbo.

The event will provide information and showcase a range of projects, companies, community groups and agencies that offer services to people with disabilities in Co Leitrim. People can come at any time between 11am and 2pm to have a look around the interactive information stands and sample the activities available on the day, these will include:

• Citizens Information Service

• Wheelchair Solutions

• VEC – Courses and Training

• Sports Partnership

• Information on progressing into Self-Employment

• LAPWD

• IWA

• Carers Association

• Information on Rural Transport and many more.

There will also be a holistic treatment room, including acupuncture, reflexology, massage, yoga and aromatherapy, where people can sample these treatments and find out their benefits.
