Aughavas man Andy McGovern has re-released his inspiring book ‘Against The Odds’ in time for Christmas.
The publication documents how Andy, who was diagnosed with Motor Neuron Disease (MND) almost 40 years ago, lives and deals with the disease. Andy wrote the book with the help of voice recognition technology. He operated the computer mouse by foot. MND is a progressive neurological condition that leaves people unable to do the everyday things that the rest of us take for granted. It strikes people of all ages and although there is no cure, Andy shows how sufferers can live a full and wholesome life. The book is available at all good bookshops.
