Refereeing and Coaching Course
Transition Year students recently participated in a Refereeing and Coaching course under the partnership of Leitrim LGFA and the Connacht Council.
This course allows students to referee U-12 Go Game matches across Leitrim and become employable with the LGFA and GAA. It gives students an insight into what it's like to be a referee and an opportunity to do further courses to referee adult matches.
As coaching is an element of this course, students are also able to volunteer with their local clubs to teach new skills to younger generations.
Thank you to Sarah Murphy (Connacht Council Development Officer) for travelling to LAC and a big thank you to Ms. Foley for liaising with her to organise this wonderful opportunity for our students.
