Students past and present, as well as staff and friends of the Organic Centre, Leitrim gathered outside its iconic grass roof building to do the warrior pose as part of a nationwide event organised by Women’s aid on St Brigid's Day.
The event highlighted and supported the 1 in 4 women suffering domestic violence in Ireland.
Dervilla Keegan of the Organic Centre says 'We are delighted to support this campaign and the work that Women's Aid does. We are also keen to ensure women continue to be involved and are aware of the work we do'
The Organic Centre has been a pioneer in education in Organic growing and sustainable living and is currently taking applications for its one-year Level 5 course in Organic Horticulture in conjunction with the MSLETB.
One of the toddlers from Green Shoots Parent and toddler group that is held at the centre supported his mum doing the warrior pose.
