The launch of the Leitrim Guardian 2025 is coming up and this is the 57th edition of this prestigious publication.
It will be full of the usual mix of interesting articles, historical pieces, folklore, local news both past and present, and of course lots of photos of the colourful folk of our lovely county.
There will also be a presentation of the Person of the Year Award to the very popular and worthy recipient
Michael Feeney, Killargue and Dublin.
Michael hails from Killargue originally and has spent most of his working life in Dublin with his wife Patrica and his four daughters and six grandchildren.
This did not mean that he ever forgot about Leitrim. In fact he has been a constant supporter and promoter of many important aspects of life in Leitrim from the GAA, to Leitrim tourism and Leitrim business.
Michael is a dedicated and hard working individual who has consistently made many significant and highly valued contributions to his home county.
This will be followed by the Presentation of the Literary Awards.
The launch takes place in the Landmark Hotel ,Carrick-on-Shannon on Sunday 24th November at 2pm .
