Leitrim councillor calls for drainage works in a number of locations in south Leitrim

Cllr Paddy O'Rourke asked the council to deal with the drainage and surfacing issue of the "early part of road 55440-0 which is just off the R201 at Kilbracken" and was advised the road is the L-5540-0 in the townland of Kilbracken.

Cllr Paddy O'Rourke was told that Leitrim County Council will investigate the existing drainage at Kilbracken and program in the Velocity patcher to repair the road surface.

Cllr Paddy O'Rourke asked the council to deal with the drainage and surfacing issue of the "early part of road 55440-0 which is just off the R201 at Kilbracken" and was advised the road is the L-5540-0 in the townland of Kilbracken.

He was told that Leitrim County Council will investigate the existing drainage at Kilbracken and program in the Velocity patcher to repair the road surface.

He also asked the council to  pipe and infill the dangerous open drain on the right-hand side of road L155651 alongside what "is the public part of the road leading toward the telecommunications mast at Druminchin."

He was advised that the road is the L-55651-0 in the townland of Druminshin Glebe and the District Office will assess this location and endeavour to put a drainage grant at this location in 2026.
