Leitrim road is like 'sheet of ice' during periods of frost and ice

'Dangerous' road is highlighted by councillor

Cllr Gary Prior asked that the Leitrim County Council address the "ongoing safety issue on a section of road at L-1311-0, located
from the bridge to past the bend at the local waterfall Poll an Easa, Aughnasheelin."

He told the meeting that during periods of frost and ice, this stretch of roadway becomes "extremely hazardous, effectively like a sheet of glass. I ask that Leitrim County Council examine the application of anti-skid surfacing or an appropriate alternative safety measure as a matter of urgency in the interest of public safety."
