At the time of going to press, a 35-year-old motorcyclist remains in a serious but stable condition in Sligo Regional Hospital following a road traffic accident in Bundoran, Co Donegal on Saturday.
The injured man, who is believed to reside in Sligo, was seriously injured in the accident which occurred at the roundabout at Magheracarr at approximately 7.20am on May 16.
Gardai are appealing for anyone who was travelling northbound on the N17 at Magheracarr at around 7.15am on Saturday morning and witnessed anything suspicious is asked to contact Gardai at Ballyshannon Garda Station on (071) 9858530
Fatal Longford accident
Gardai in Granard, Co Longford are investigating a fatal road traffic collision which occurred on the main Dublin to Longford Road N4 on May 16.
The collision between a car and a minibus occurred at Corboy, Edgeworthstown at approximately 11.10pm.
The 36-year-old male driver of the car, who has been named locally as Aridis Diliauskas, a Lithuanian national living in Mullingar, was seriously injured in the collision and was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.
A number of ambulances attended and treated the mini bus passengers (14 children and two adults).
The bus driver was taken to Mullingar hospital where his injuries are described as non life threatening.
Gardai are appealing for witnesses to contact Granard Garda station on 043 6687660, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
