Three former NIB branches up for sale

Co Leitrim’s three former National Irish Bank branches have been put up for sale in the second phase of branch disposals by Danske Bank (formerly NIB).

Co Leitrim’s three former National Irish Bank branches have been put up for sale in the second phase of branch disposals by Danske Bank (formerly NIB).

The sale of the three buildings, two of which have historic significance, is being handled by Savills International Property Consultants.

Savills’ Associate, Stephen McCarthy, said the company expected “a strong market response to the next phases of (NIB) properties”.

The second phase includes the freehold sale of Ballinamore’s former branch with a guide price of €140,000; Carrick-on-Shannon with a guide price of €240,000 and Drumshanbo, also featuring a guide price of €140,000.

If no sale is achieved on these properties Savills is open to offers for leasing the buildings instead.

“All of the properties have class two planning enabling financial services use, including bookmakers, to commence immediate trade without the necessity for change of use,” pointed out Mr McCarthy.

The three branches are listed for sale with Savills and DNG Farrell’s office in Carrick-on-Shannon.
