Celebrity chef Neven Maguire to host fundraising cookery demo in Leitrim

Neven Maguire will be at the Bee Park Community Centre in Manorhamilton on Monday, January 26, for a fundraising cooking demonstration in support of Manorhamilton Rangers AFC.

Celebrity chef and television personality Neven Maguire is set to visit Leitrim on Monday, January 26, where he will host a special fundraising cookery demonstration.

The exclusive event will take place at the Bee Park Community Centre, with all proceeds from ticket sales going to Manorhamilton Rangers AFC. 

Funds raised on the night will contribute towards the installation of new floodlighting and the refurbishment of the club’s astroturf surface.

In a post shared on social media, the club confirmed that tickets are selling fast and can be reserved by contacting Dave on 083 113 3003.

“Enjoy an entertaining evening of live cooking, plenty of tips and tricks, and a chance to ask Neven your own questions,” the club wrote in a post on Facebook.

Tickets are priced at €20, with doors opening at 7pm for a wine reception. The cookery demonstration with Neven Maguire will begin at 8pm.

Neven Maguire has strong connections to Leitrim, having previously attended St Clare’s Comprehensive School, where he made history as the first boy in the school to study home economics. 

He returned to the school in 2023 during its 50th anniversary celebrations, hosting a cooking demonstration for students as part of the milestone event.

Neven Maguire is head chef at the renowned MacNean House and Restaurant and has sold more than 120,000 cookbooks throughout his career.
