Among the comments of sympathy one person wrote: "Seán was a real gentleman. He devoted a huge amount of time and effort to the club and as a coach and manager his dedication and passion left a lasting impression on his players."
Another wrote: "From underage, on and off the field, from Pairc Sean to New York, our paths crossed; always a proud Manor and Leitrim man, and then together in Cloverhill, a great trustworthy work colleague, whom we shared, chats and laughter, in and out of the job, meeting the best of lads on the way, everlasting memories with all of us."
Another tribute stated: "Another Manorhamilton icon gone far too soon."
One tribute spoke of Sean's great love for GAA. "I met Sean first on the playing fields of Leitrim in the late 80s/early 90s where he represented his beloved Glencar/Manor with great passion and pride. He was tough and uncompromising on the field and one of life's gentlemen off it. My deepest condolences to Sean's family, friends and indeed the whole community in Manorhamilton on the loss of a true gentleman and gael."
A former colleague stated: "Such a gentleman to work with. A true friend to everyone, we all loved you . Always so kind and funny. Cant believe we wont ever get to talk again. You will never be forgotten buddy."
