Part of N16 to close for two weeks
Part of the N16 from Diffreen to Sligo at Glencar is set to close for two weeks for repair from March 28.
Leitrim County Council expects to close the national route from the townlands of Meenaphuill and Diffreen, between Manorhamilton and Sligo from 9.15 am on Monday 28th March, 2022 until 4.30pm Friday 8th April, 2022.
Diversions will be in place via the R278 and R286 for Westbound traffic (travelling from Manorhamilton to Sligo) and via the R280, R287 and R286 for Eastbound traffic (travelling from Sligo to Manorhamilton). HGV traffic diversion will be via R280, R289 and R287 (travelling from Manorhamilton to Sligo)
Local access will be available. All diversions will be sign posted and Variable Message Signs boards in place.
Any person aggrieved by the proposed decision to close the roads described may lodge an objection with the Director of Services for Economic Development, Planning & Transportation, Leitrim County Council, Aras an Chontae, Carrick-on-Shannon, Co. Leitrim on or before Wednesday the 9th March, 2022..
