Carrick-on-Shannon motorist receives €150 fine for parking in disabled bay

Gardai in Carrick-on-Shannon have confirmed as part of Operation Enable, a commercial vehicle was detected parked in a disabled bay in the town with the driver now facing a fine of €150.

The driver will be issued with a fixed charged penalty notice who will also receive a €150 fine.

In a post on the Sligo/Leitrim Garda Facebook page a Garda spokesperson said, "We wish to remind the Public that these designated parking bays exist to assist persons with restricted mobility, with the appropriate permit, access the town. Gardaí will continue to target offenders in relation to this offence."
