'We had to do something' - Sweet dog saved from being put to sleep seeks forever home

A working dog saved from being euthanised is now looking for his forever home.

A volunteer with My Lovely Horse Rescue (MLHR) was at the vet when she met Jules the collie, who was scheduled to be put to sleep due to "worrying sheep".

Jules' owner had booked him in for euthanisation and the vet asked if there was any way MLHR could help.

In a statement about the situation, MLHR said, "Yesterday was so heartbreaking. MLHR Alex was at the vet with one of our dogs. Alex met this beauty, he was scheduled to be put to sleep, he had been worrying sheep.

"We are so jammed, but we had to do something to save this sweet boy. He looked into Alex’s eyes and melted her heart."

A foster home for Jules was found just 24 hours later.

MLHR stated, "The power of social media helped us save this beautiful boy, THANK YOU."

Anyone interested in adopting Jules - who is neutered, good with female dogs and has been around children - is encouraged to fill out a form online.

"Please share, Jules deserves the best," they stated.
