Energy supplier cuts costs that could save you over €400 on average bill

Standing charge for gas will decrease by 10 per cent

Flogas has become the latest energy supplier to reduce its gas and electricity prices.

The supplier has confirmed it will reduce the variable rate for electricity by 15 per cent and natural gas by 25 per cent from March 25 this year.

This will show savings of €274 on the average household electric bill and €429 for the average gas bill.

Smart meter tariffs however, will remain the same for now but the standing charge for gas will decrease by 10 per cent.

This is the second reduction of prices Flogas has made in nearly 5 months following a cut by 30% by both gas and electricity in November 2023.
